You Live. We Plan. We Guide. | Conflict-Free Financial Planning & Advice
Matthew R. Etzler's Bio:
You have questions... When can you retire? What will you need? Will you have enough to maintain your lifestyle? What about taxes? When should you start drawing Social Security? And more… These are important questions. And there's a lot of information available on the internet, from your friends, and in the break room. Unfortunately, it can all be so complex and overwhelming to figure out how or if it applies to your situation.
And while it seems that there are a large number of financial "advisors" available to "help" you, the primary function of most bank, brokerage and insurance representatives is simply to SELL you products... their products... products you may not even need.
You need answers to BIG questions, not products with BIG commissions. You need someone who has an obligation to focus on YOUR bottom line... not theirs. We provide answers... We help sort through the mass of information, misinformation, and confusion that clutters your path to help you make informed decision about your life goals and avoid costly mistakes along the way. Real financial planning isn't about investment returns or the sale of a product -- it's about quality of life. It's about making dreams real. It's about making life more.
For more than 25 years, I have helped to shape the well-being of others by providing seasoned guidance and solutions. I've built an advisory practice that doesn't sell products, only guidance to help people make the most of their life and their money. Only 9% of all financial advisors in the U.S. act exclusively as a fee-only fiduciary. I'm proud to be included in this select group of professionals that put client interests first – the way that it should be.
I approach personal finances in a holistic manner addressing cash flow, taxes, retirement, investments, risk management, and estate preservation. My role is to help you define the direction of your journey and achieve milestones, suggest changes in course when needed, and provide support for everything that life brings your way.
I value continuing education to better serve people and have attained the following designations:
- Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®)
- Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®)
- Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®)
- Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant (ChFEBC℠)
I have been awarded the highest, Five-Star rating by Paladin Registry, a service that documents and validates the credentials of high quality financial professionals who rank in the top 10% of their profession. I am also one of only a few advisors in the nation admitted to the 403(b)wise Advisor Directory; an education and advocacy site dedicated to providing quality, objective advice to 403(b) retirement plan participants.
Entering into an advisory relationship is an important decision that has significant lifelong implications. For this reason, we offer a no-charge, no-obligation introductory consultation in person, by phone, or online. If we're in a position to help you and we're a good fit, we'll provide you with a written proposal that outlines what you can expect from our relationship. And because we're fee-only fiduciary advisors, you can be assured that you will receive 1) real advice and planning, never a sales pitch; 2) a prudent process; and 3) a holistic approach to your situation.
